Coffee and donuts are served in the Parish Hall most Sundays after the 8:30 AM Mass. Coffee, tea, milk, juice and donuts are available. This is an opportunity to meet other parishioners, get to know them, and enjoy coffee and donuts while you visit. All are welcome! Contact Mike and Terri Hecksel to volunteer or for more information about the program at 482-3196.
The Parish Library is usually available during this period of time.
Parish Potlucks are held the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6pm in the Parish Hall. All are invited to bring $2 each (to cover cost of main meal provided), a dish to share, and your own table setting.
This is a good opportunity to share a meal and meet other parishioners.
If you have any questions, please contact Mike or Terri Hecksel at 482-3196.
All are welcome!
On the 1st Wednesday of each month, Fr. Karl will be talking on a different topic. There will be time for small table discussions and prayer. We meet in the Parish Hall from 7-8:30pm.
*We have taken a break for summer. We will back to our monthly gatherings in September.
Jackie Timmer, a St. Mary parishioner, a former teacher and a lover of books and learning, has been working with the Knights of Columbus and the Director of Religious Education to bring you a parish library. It is located in the main Parish Hall coat room.
All age groups will be served by this library. Anyone who wishes to check out a book may fill out a card with contact information and use the check-out cards in each item. Donated items do not need to be explicitly Catholic as long as they are not against Church teaching.
If you would like to purchase a new item for the library, we have created wish lists on Amazon.com and aquinasandmore.com. Look for "wish list" and search for “St. Mary’s Cathedral Parish Library”.
If you have questions or concerns, please email Jackie at [email protected].
The St. Mary Cathedral annual parish potluck picnic is scheduled each summer for a Sunday evening, at Grand Woods Park in West Lansing. Hot dogs, burgers, drinks and table service will be provided. Everyone is asked to bring a favorite dish to pass.
The park is located on Willow west off Waverly Road, north of St. Gerard as the road turns to go west again. Any questions can be directed to Mike or Terri Hecksel at 482-3196.
