Hello! I enjoy helping all members of the parish grow in their love and knowledge of Jesus Christ and his Church! I want to do what I can to support all parents in their mission as primary educators.
I am a second generation Lansingite (Lansinger?), aunt to three nephews, owner of one dog and servant of two cats :). I have a weakness for cute animals and picking up literature in the back of churches. My confirmation saint is St. Josphine Bakhita.
I was raised Catholic but fell away from the faith during my teen years. In college (way over in East Lansing), God called me back to Himself. I went through RCIA (now OCIA) and received the sacrament of confirmation at St. John Student Parish in 2001.
My faith life continued to grow and I was able to complete a Masters in Catholic Studies at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. I moved back to Lansing and got involved in the Totus Tuus young adult group here at St. Mary. I started this role at the Cathedral in 2022 after working at Michigan State University for several years. While I'll always be a Spartan, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve this parish.
PS - I cannot stress enough the importance of having/seeking faithful community and friends in your life! Christian life is meant to be lived in relationship and communion. Let's keep each other in prayer - Ave Maria!
